Little Witch Academia is a fun series, and I think my students will really like it!
But Amazing Agent Luna is definitely a new favorite! Ever since I have finished what is out for Promised Neverland, I have been trying to find a manga that I liked as much–Luna is it! Humor and drama and action–all the good stuff!
Trent and I finished what is probably his favorite Captain Underpants book yet–I mean, it is about a bionic booger boy! Onto part 2 of the bionic booger boy story!

I’ve had a few students ask about manga series, but since they are often so long, in paperback, and at $10 or so a pop, it makes a 10+ book series expensive. Luckily, our public library has a good selection.
It’s great that you have a personal reading time and a family reading time and that you read in all different ways.
I’ve heard good things about Promised Neverland — I need to start reading it! I used to read so much manga in high school, I’ve kind of fallen out of the practice in recent years.
Kellee, I should definitely look into Promised Neverland and Amazing Agent Luna. It’s great that you’ve been enjoying so much manga lately! Also, you mentioned one of the Hilda graphic novels—I haven’t read them, but the Netflix animated show based on them is super-fun (and visually gorgeous), if you all want to try it! And Ricki, good luck finishing the semester! Thank you both so much for the great post and round-up!
Family reading time sounds like a great part of a routine! I’m always impressed by people how can list what the rest of the family is reading.
I’m getting into manga as well; it’s hard reading contrary to expectations sometimes. Gives me more sympathy for kids learning the mechanics of reading.
