Review Policy

Share

We enjoy reviewing children’s, middle grade, and young adult books and will accept books from authors and publishers. Our focus is how the books can be used in the classroom, so we kindly ask that you only submit your book if you think it can be used by teachers. We don’t include spoilers, but we may include warnings if a book is not appropriate for a certain age group. We reserve the right to edit any of our reviews at any time. This blog is all about how texts can be used in classrooms. For example, please refrain from sending very religious or particularly naughty texts. We accept any genre and welcome hardcovers, paperbacks, ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies), and e-books.

We will always look for the positive in a book. If we do not feel the book meets our mission, to be a resourceful blog for teachers to find texts to use in their classrooms, we will not post a review of the book. You will be contacted if that is the case. We will not receive monetary compensation for reviews. The reviews of this blog are solely our own, and we will always work to provide a positive, honest review of your book.

Review Timeline

We promise to try to review your book in a timely manner. Any other specifics will be discussed via email.

Author Interviews, Guest Posts, and Blog Tours

We would love to consider your author interview, guest post, or blog tour if we feel the book is appropriate for our blog.  Please contact us for more information.

  2. Hello,

I was wondering if you might be interested in giving an honest review of my Willakaville series books.

They are compilations of short stories where kids are the heroes. Strange and wacky things happen and life lessons are learned along the way.

There are some links below if you want to look them up. Please let me know if you are interested and what format works best for you.

    Thank you for your time.

  3. Hello,
I was wondering if you might be interested in reviewing my book, Astronaut-Aquanaut: How Space Science and Sea Science Interact (NGKids). It is great for use in a classroom as a compare/contrast type book, amazing STEM informational book, or just plain fun. I have several classroom activities on my website (downloaded for free). If you are interested, I would be happy to send you a complimentary copy. And I would also be open to doing an interview if you so desire. Thank you for your time. Best Jennifer
