It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!

It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme started by Sheila at Book Journeys and now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now…you just might discover the next “must-read” book!

Kellee and Jen, of Teach Mentor Texts, decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join us! We love this meme and think you will, too.

We encourage everyone who participates to support the blogging community by visiting at least three of the other book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

  1. Turn This Book Into a Beehive looks interesting. Love books that teach kids about the importance of bees!

  2. Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I’m excited to read How to Code a Sandcastle once I can a copy in my area. I’m hearing so much about it! I’ll also look forward to reading your thoughts on Land of Permanent Goodbyes. Have a wonderful reading week!

  3. I hope you both had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I am most interested in How to Code a Sandcastle. I’ll be interested to see what you all think.

  4. How to Code a Sandcastle is such a great book. I was pleasantly surprised. And I was excited to learn there’s going to be another “How to Code a” book coming soon.

    • It is my first Girls who Code book, and I loved it. I learned about coding. I’m always a fan of books that are accessible to all audiences.

  5. I have I Am Gandhi to read too! Did you watch the first episode of the “Who Was” series on Netflix? It featured “Gandhi” but I wasn’t really thrilled how he was portrayed 🙁

    • I DIDN’T! We both loved the book. The amalgamation of the graphic novelists makes for a stunning result. Kellee and I couldn’t resist dual reviewing the book. 🙂
